The National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party, Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem said, the Member, representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika in the House of Representatives, Mr.Emman Ekon, has hijacked materials meant for Ward 8,9 and 10, in Etim Ekpo Local Government area, in Akwa Ibom State.

The National Legal Adviser of the PDP, who spoke with Journalists at his polling unit, described the election in Etim Ekpo as a sham, saying, Emman Ekon hijacked materials, which were being thumb printed at a primary school in Iwukem.

Enoidem said, the police and the Army watched as ballot boxes and papers were being carted away, as Emman Ekon, DIG Ekpoudom and other APC chieftains in the Party, were going about, unit by unit, destroying materials where the PDP won.

The Special Assistant to the Governor on electoral matters, Godson Uwa, was said to have been arrested, this morning, without any offense.

Three hours after the hijack, the NLA said, law enforcement agencies and the INEC staffers he reported to, kept promising that they will do something, but nothing has been done, Barrister Enoidem said.

According to him, these are pointers to the acclaimed “Warsaw” which was threatened by the former Governor, who recently lost his re-election bid to the senate. He affirmed that, what Godswill has not done today, is to conclude elections in three hours.

He alleged that, since he defeated Ekpoudom and Ekon, in last month’s elections, they had to contract the military, and declared “operation win Etim Ekpo.”

He took a swipe on the APC governorship candidate, Mr.Nsima Ekere, for attempting to import militants to the state, to disrupt the electoral process.

He reaffirmed his support to the Udom Emmanuel’s re-election for a second term, and advised Akwa ibomites to support and sustain the peace in Akwa Ibom, and declared that the APC does not have numbers to win elections in Akwa Ibom.

He called on INEC to cancel elections in Ward 8, 9 and 10 in Etim Ekpo.
