Facts reaching our medium shows that, the materials distributed at the constituency briefing and empowerment of former Governor Godswill Akpabio on the 5th of July, 2017, were never diverted by the lawmaker representing Essien Udim State constituency, Nse Ntuen.
On a fact finding mission to Oron road, where items for his proposed constituency briefing and empowerment were purchased, items ranging from motorcycles, tricycles, cars, etc were seen with proofs of receipts from the seller.
Trail Reporters had earlier published a report, where sources had said materials were allegedly diverted by the lawmaker, but findings had proven otherwise.
Our Reporter who spoke with the lawmaker in Uyo said, Nse Ntuen was only a member of the committee that coordinated the event and was never part of the distribution of the items.
The items which were given by Akpabio were 30 vehicles, 40 cargo tricycles, four tractors, 800 generating sets, 100 computer sets and printers, 194 sewing machines, 154 grain grinding machines, 55 block molding machines, 58 tricycles, 10 cassava processing machines, 30 home grinding machines, and many other items, saying he was setting a new benchmark in the empowerment of his people, which we gathered were evenly distributed to all beneficiaries.
The constituency briefing and empowerment in Essien Udim has been fixed for May 5, 2018, which Nse Ntuen has promised to present the best to his constituents.
The lawmaker said, in his six years as Chairman, projects he executed has been unrivaled, and pledged to do more for his constituents in the House of Assembly.
He further advised politicians to engage themselves positively in bringing developments to their people and not antagonize each other for pecuniary gains.
