2019 DELTA CENTRAL: AMORI LOVES URHOBO NATION; BEST ASPIRANT FOR THE JOB – DAVID EDEVBIE

…WILL NEVER STEAL SENATE MACE, ABHORS HOOLIGANISM.

Fred Oghenesivbe Esq.

Honourable Commissioner for Finance in Delta State, Olorogun David Edevbie has thrown his political weight and structure behind Chief Ighoyota Amori, endorsed him for 2019 Delta Central Senatorial race.

Edevbie announced his support today when he played host to Senator Amori and his campaign team at his Afiesere country home in Ughelli North.

The Finance Commissioner went down memory lane to recall the roles Amori has been playing in Delta State politics as one of the Pioneer members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the one hand and as a foremost Urhobo leader with uncommon passion for the development of Urhobo Nation, on the other hand.

He told the large audience comprising past and present state and federal lawmakers, party leaders and supporters that Amori have always aligned himself with Urhobo interest and that it will be fair and necessary for PDP delegates and Urhobo people of Delta central to support and vote for him at the party primaries and during the forthcoming general elections.

Edevbie known for few words and respected for his hard earned reputation further asserted that Urhobo Nation cannot afford another round of hooliganism and disgraceful reprentation at the Senate, adding that the recent sad scenario at the red chambers in which mace was stolen under questionable circumstances must be tammed and avoided.

“Chief Amori is a man of honour with strength of character. He is a pleasant personality that will never be part of a disgraceful arrangement or political scheming such as stealing of Senate mace.

“I am supporting Amori and I urge my people especially delegates to vote for the right person and that right aspirant for the job is Chief Ighoyota Amori. We have been through so many things together since 1999 and still counting. You can always count on Amori for quality representation.

“We do not need a Senator that will give Urhobo Nation bad image as can be seen from recent political development which is why we must rally round Chief Amori to ensure his landslide victory come 2019,” Edevbie added.

Also speaking, Prof Patrick Muoboghare, described Senator Amori as a man of honour, integrity and reliable enough to give Urhobo Nation excellent representation.

“We are not looking any further, Amori is our choice come 2019,” he added.

Earlier, Chief Amori told Edevbie that the race for the senatorial election can only be won if well grounded political tacticians like him and other notable politicians with solid structures in Ughelli North were deeply involved in his ambition to fly PDP flag in 2019.

He noted that with the return home of Chief James Onanefe Ibori coupled with the good governance strides of the State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, winning 2019 election is going to be very interesting but not without regular interface with the people and mass mobilization of eligible voters. I need your total support and every vote counts.

Amori appealed to leaders and party faithfuls in Ughelli North LGA to support him massively on the grounds that he has the capacity, experience, maturity and solid political contacts and associates across the six geopolitical zones by virtue of his position as a pioneer member of the PDP and as the incumbent Political Adviser to the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus.

“Gov Okowa’s achievements within three years of this administration is amazing. It has made things easy for all of us vying for one elective office or the other because we have good stories to tell and better testimonies to give during campaign proper.

“I am a strong supporter of Gov Okowa. I also know that Delta Central, Ughelli North and the entire state remains PDP and Okowa’s political territory till May 29, 2023 and beyond. As we work for ourselves, we must also work extra for the landslide victory of our governor in 2019.

“Your total support is what I have come to ask for and I am convinced that you will not let me down.

“The bad omen of 2015 double-decker Court of Appeal ruling is now hunting the mischief makers hence we must do anything and everything within our powers as political leaders and as my cheerished supporters to take back the mandate our people gave to me under PDP in 2015.

“I am convinced beyond reasonable doubts that Urhobo lost glory in the Senate shall be restored and sustained once I am elected to serve our people at the red chambers,” Amori added.

Present at the consultation visit includes the Director General of Amori4Senate Campaign Organisation, Elegbete Moses Odibo, Hon Solomon Awhinawhi of House of Representatives, Hon Prince Eric Oharisi, Hon Efe Ofobruku, Hon Samuel Marierie, Hon Adode aka Coach Tete, Ughelli North Council Chairman, Chief George Asikorobia, Chief Sunny Onosueke and others too numerous to mention.
