66 YEAR OLD WOMAN WRITES GOVERNOR ENO, APPRECIATES HIM ON AESTHETIC PROJECT

A 66 year old woman, Mrs Elizabeth Esu, has sent a letter of commendation to Governor Umo Eno, on his beautification project in Uyo.

In a letter to the Governor, Mrs Esu stated:

“TO HIS EXCELLENCY GOVERNOR OF AKWA IBOM STATE, PASTOR UMO ENO

Letter OF Appreciation

I gratefully write to express my heartfelt appreciation for the recent aesthetic project on the Atiku/Idoro flyover in Uyo capital city. The resplendent murals have not only transformed the visual landscape but also significantly improved the security of Nnung Ukot Itam, Enen Afaha, Enen Ikot Abasi and the surrounding communities; making it a more vibrant and welcoming place.

So far, the project has had a profound impact on the area, making it a more welcoming and safe space for residents and visitors alike. The improved/increased visibility and foot traffic have reduced instances of loitering and criminal activity, which was a menace in the past; thereby creating a more secure environment for everyone.

This significant street art project display and the others in view, interprete your mandate towards improving our public spaces. These unique cultural murals have not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal but has also fostered a sense of community pride and ownership, encouraging locals to take an active role in maintaining the area’s cleanliness and safety.

My gratitude equally goes to the artists, volunteers, and stakeholders involved in this initiative. Their efforts have made a tangible difference in my resident community’s quality of life.

Your leadership and commitment to making Uyo and Akwa Ibom State at large a better place for its residents are truly commendable. This and other revolutionary projects are testaments to your remarkable and life changing plans included in the arise agenda.

Thank you for your dedication to enhancing our public spaces and promoting community well-being.”

Deaconess Elizabeth Esu
