Deputy Governor Moses Ekpo, today led Akwa Ibom PDP officials and stakeholders to receive thousands of defecting APC members at Unity Hall, Essien Udim.
It was a symbolic event in Senator Godswill Akpabio’s community as APC in Essien Udim collapsed for Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Speaking, the pioneer chairman of Essien Udim, Chief Martin Unanah said he came to support the return of PDP from the lowest to the highest level in government in Nigeria.
He pledged the loyalty of his people to Governor Emmanuel, saying, “God will punish me and my family if I return to APC.”
The commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry Prince Ukpong Akpabio explained why he is leading support for Governor Udom Emmanuel in Essien Udim.
He said, “it was former Gov. Godswill Akpabio that brought Udom Emmanuel and told us to support his aspiration for 8years, so the people of Essien Udim will always stand with Udom till 2023”
All former ward Chairmen of APC and their complete exco led by the former Chapter Chairman, Pastor Kayeobong Edet, Ward Youth Leaders in Essien Udim have emptied into the PDP.
