AHEAD OF OCT 2, PDP PRIMARIES, EKET LAWMAKER, DAVID LAWRENCE CONSULTS PARTY FOR A SECOND TERM

The Lawmaker representing Eket State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. David Lawrence, today, consulted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Eket for a second term in office.

Accompanied by the Director General of his second term campaign, Chief Idim and an array of supporters to the party office, the lawmaker said, he has the capacity to still represent Eket in the 7th Assembly beginning next year.

He reiterated his performance level, to include the newly constructed market, a sponsored bill which was passed into law, and a recently constituency and empowerment programme, held in June, 2018.

David Lawrence was quoted as saying, he had the experience, and has tasted the waters of the legislature as a State House of Assembly member.

According to the lawmaker, his passion is to develop his community, which is achievable, with the support of the Governor.

“Zoning among the three geopolitical zones in Eket is not altered but we are only asking for Urban to be given another four years in the new round of rotation”

Reacting, the DG of the Campaign, Chief S. A Idim said, “As an incumbent, he has represented us well and we need a candidate who will backup and support the interest of the Governor and David Lawrence is a man with such capacity. ”

“After Four years of the incumbent, anywhere the party wants to zone the position of the state house of Assembly to after David Lawrence reelection, we promise to support the party but for this time, let us return him so as to complete the projects he has done.”

Responding, the chapter chairman, Abong Emman Mbong said, the aspiration is fair, that all aspirants will be given a level playing ground, and for a winner to emerge at the field.
