Impeccable sources have told Trail Reporters, about ongoing fraud at the Ibom Specialist Hospital in Uyo.
Findings shows that, the hospital is funded by the government of Governor Udom Emmanuel, but the hospital remits very meagre or nothing to the Government but remits to a former governor in the state.
Our sources also alleged that, the hospital is an organized money laundering outfit for the former number one man in the state.
Information available to us reveals that, there is a standoff right now between Udom and the hospital management, as the Governor has refused to release operational funds to them, unless they present an account rendition of the hospital to him.
Sources informed Trail Reporters that staff of Nigerian extraction, are not in key positions so that the fraud will not be known and exposed.
A former governor is said to own the hospital, which was built with state funds
We gathered that, the whole account section has just one accountant and he is Indian.
A check at the hospital premises shows low patronage, as staff complained of non payment of salaries.
Speaking with the Ibom Specialist Hospital Public Relations Officer, he denied knowledge of all these happening, saying that Nigerians are holding strategic positions in the hospital, even as he said, the Chief Medical Director, is a Nigerian.
