The National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party, Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem, yesterday, turned 54.
At his country home in Utu Ikot Eboro village, Etim Ekpo, the State Government, led by Governor Udom Emmanuel, the Deputy Governor, Speaker, friends and family, paid tribute to the man, who has contributed immensely to the growth of the State, and the development of humanity at large.
At the Grace hospital, Moses Enoidem Foundation, the State Governor, Mr.Udom Emmanuel in marking the 3rd anniversary of the hospital, inspected facilities at the hospital, and promised that he and Enoidem’s friends will provide an ambulance for the health institution. The hospital also has a standard laboratory and a 4bed room ensuite staff quarters.
Responding, Barr. Enoidem said, he was spending so much money in organizing free treatment to people, and someday, he thought that building Grace Hospital where people can get free medical treatment will be better, and that was how it started.
Enoidem who is the sole financier of the medical bills of patients in the hospital, said, as long as he lives, the hospital will continue to provide free medical services to people. He also said, instead of people to pay money in the clinic, we will close it and know that we cannot run it again.
He used the occasion to call on individuals and donor agencies to partner with him, to improve the health services to the people.
The birthday celebration had begun with a one week free medical treatment on Monday,June 23,2018, where different surgical operations have taken place.
According to the Chief Medical Director,Dr.Uwem Akpan,since the inception of the hospital, over 7000 patients have been treated at the hospital.
Awards were presented to corporate organizations and individuals by the Grace Hospital Moses Enoidem Foundation, amongst which were, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr.Udom Emmanuel, the Deputy Governor, Mr.Moses Ekpo, Speaker, Onofiok Luke, Chairman of ALGON, Mr.Frank Archibong, Commissioner for Works, Ephraim Inyang, Idems Ultimate, Hensek, Chief Godswill Akpabio, and others.
