Trail Reporters
Report reaching Trail Reporters News reveals that there are serious troubles and tension in Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara as the Economic & Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and The Special Presidential Investigation Panel on Recovery of Public Property (SPIPRPP) has arrested the Governing Council Members of the Polytechnic over fraud and corrupt practices.
Our medium reliably gathered that four of the Governing Council Members,Mr. Brave Enodeh, Mr. Nana Joseph, Mr. Benson Omonode and Mr. Napoleon Akpubi who honoured the invitation letters by EFCC PortHarcourt Zonal Office within the first week of March 2018 were interrogated for several hours by crack team of EFCC detectives, detained and later granted administrative bail.
Trail Reporters gathered that these Governing Council members on the waiting invitation list to be arrested and interrogated soonest by EFCC detectives includes Hon. Commissioner for Higher Education Delta State, Engr. Jude Sinebe, Chief J. B Oduma, (Mrs) Pat Ejeteh, Clara Sogbaike, Mr.Stephen Clarke and Chief Stanley Sagboje.
One of our media correspondents based in Abuja also gathered that one of the Governing Council members of the Delta State Polytechnic Oghara, Barr. Brave Enodeh was on the 5th of March 2018 arrested by the Special Presidential Investigation Panel on Recovery of Public Property based on unlawful enrichment and diversion of public funds alongside other Governing Council members mentioned above.
Reliable information gathered by our medium, revealed that after Barr. Brave Enodeh was arrested and granted bail by the Special Presidential Panel, he was requested to bring along other members of the Governing Council who are also under investigation for diversion of public funds on the 13th of March, 2018 which he honoured but failed to bring them as he had earlier undertaken citing some reasons for his failure to compel the other suspects to appear before the Presidential Panel and a new date was fixed for next month mandating Barr. Brave Enodeh to ensure other suspects appear before the Presidential Panel or risk arrest. However, discreet investigation by our crack team of journalists revealed that there is grand conspiracy by the Governing Council members to protect the former Rector of the Polytechnic, Clara Sogbaike who is the main principal suspect has threatened not to go down alone if she is not adequately protected by the Delta State Government through the Governing Council of the Polytechnic from investigation.
Calls placed by our Reporter to the EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwajuren to ascertain the total number of suspects already arrested and granted bail and those yet to be arrested, did not yield positive results as at the time of filing in this report.
