The member representing Eket State constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mr. David Lawrence, has felicitated with the people of his constituency on their full participation in the January sanitation, held in Eket on Saturday, January 27, 2018.
Speaking today, the House member said, he was impressed with the high level of compliance by the Ekid people, as there have been a low turn out on sanitation days in the past.
According to him, with reports available to him in most parts of Eket, he is certain that the February 2018 sanitation will be better, as we progress subsequently.
He lauded the Frank Archibong led administration in the local government council, for their role in conducting an effective sanitation duty, while applauding the members of the press, who were on hand, to give the monitoring exercise adequate publicity.
The House member also commended the Akwa Ibom state Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, for sustaining the initiative of the monthly sanitation exercise.
David Lawrence further enjoined the people to be law abiding, and take sanitation as a serious business, as cleanliness they say, is next to godliness.
He reiterated that, Eket and Akwa Ibom should be kept clean at all times, not on sanitation days alone.
