The last has not been heard of the constituency briefing and empowerment programme organized by the Member, representing Esit Eket/Ibeno State constituency, in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mr. Usoro Akpanusoh.
Some of his constituents who spoke with our medium, alleged that the empowerment programme was a sham, which was characterized by rainfall and a broken podium at the event. That was the only constituency briefing and empowerment programme in Akwa Ibom that there was a heavy rainfall. A source was quoted as saying.
One of the beneficiaries of the empowerment items, Macaulay Nyoho said, he had returned the mini bus to Usoro Akpanusoh, as it has been from one fault to the other.
Another beneficiary who is the Chapter Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party,(PDP) in Esit Eket, sources said, has complained bitterly on the refurbished car he got from the House Member, alleging that, he has not driven the car successfully for a day, without complaints, and visiting the mechanic.
One of the beneficiaries who is not a Vulcanizer, we gathered, was given a vulcanizing machine, which he said, what enables the machine to function, was removed before Usoro gave him the machine, which he has dumped.
Attempts to get the lawmaker’s reaction were unsuccessful, as he did not respond to a text message sent to his mobile number as at press time.
