Trail Reporters gathered that, Cecillia during her tenure, had used her husband, Professor Udo Essien who is a lecturer in the Chemistry Department of University of Uyo, as a front in acquiring massive properties in Akwa Ibom state.

A visit by a team of our Reporters, who visited some of the properties, reliably gathered that some of the ill-gotten properties were forcefully acquired and taken over from people.

At anua offot/ifa ikot okpon, etoi estate, off  four lane in Uyo, massive properties with red roofs in the entire estate was illegally acquired by the former head of service.

Conspicuously displayed in all their illegally acquired properties are sign posts of king’s kid Montessori school in the estate and in places they have acquired.

We gathered that, soon after they took possession of the properties, they erected a small structure and perimeter fencing on the land, where they have threatened the owners to back off.

In one of our visits to the estate, we discovered that the fence was pulled down, but weeks later, it was erected again. As at the last visit to the area, the fence was demolished again by yet to be identified persons.
