According to Robert Greenleaf, who coined the term servant leadership, “this exercise of power begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first. Then conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead.”
Frank Archibong, born on the 19th of August 1975, has carved a niche for himself in leadership. With an outstanding experience at the local government level of administration, Frank has transversed the positions of supervisor for Works, Youths and Sports, Secretary, Transition Committee, Transition Chairman, National Organizing Secretary, Akwa Ibom Consolidation Alliance, ACA, to mention a few.
At present, the Chairman of Eket Local Government, Frank Archibong has showed class in leadership, bringing his wealth of experience to lead the people.
It is a fact that, among the avalanche of contestants for the office in the last elections, Frank had stood out, not as a better Aspirant, but as a man so loved by the people, who were in need of a genuine leadership to pilot the affairs of Ekid.
The workaholic Chairman has left no one in doubt, with his sterling performances, since he took over office.
Just like a law parlance says, “Reps isa loquito,” “the fact speaks for itself.” his legacies since as transition chairman in Akwa Ibom is unrivaled.
The greatest empowerment a leader can create in leadership is human impact. The Chairman has left no one in doubt in impacting and imparting the people of Ekid. People who are non indigenes of Ekid have also benefitted greatly from his magnanimity.
A man who has desired to serve, had hit the ground running, from the outset of his administration. The once volatile security situation in Eket, is today, a thing of the past. Frank has partnered with the State’s road maintenance agency to fix bad roads in the local government.
One can hitherto describe Eket Local Government Area, as a filthy environment with heaps of refuse and waste in open spaces, which was once vulnerable to epidemic outbreak and breeding ground for pests. But his visionary leadership has brought an end to these menace.
The urbanization of Eket through the Governor Udom’s administration, has also added feathers to the Frank Archiving’s local government administration.
Distinguishedly, as the Bible records, that he who is faithful in little, will be faithful in all, Frank Archibong has stood out among the crop of Chairmen in the state, preparing himself for a higher office in future.
Little wonder why a member of the state PDP EXCO had said to his Chairman, “Is Frank Archibong not working in Eket? ” You have no excuse not to work.
Payment of school fees, house rents and support he has given to thousands of people are countless.
This is a Chairman we are well pleased, and can proudly call our own. He has set a model, upon which the local government can be administered. It is a Chairmanship position well deserved by Frank Archibong.
