Days after Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State told his audience at a youth summit in Oshogbo, the Osun State capital, that he left for the United States in 1963, and was washing corpses to get funds to pay his tuition during his stay, facts have emerged that he lied to the public on January 10, 2018.

Informed sources told Trail Reporters, that in 1963, Ajimobi was 14years old, having been born on December 16, 1949.

Findings shows that, under the Fair Labour Standards Act (FLSA) in the U.S, the minimum age a teenager could get work is 14 years.

Funeral Homes do not employ minors, and jobs for 14 year teenagers include retail occupations, magazine or newspaper delivery, racking leaves, food service such as washing, cleaning and limited cooking and you are not allowed to work more than 3 hours daily.

Further findings revealed that, he had also attended Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan, where he wrote his West African School Certificate, WASC, O Level, which he would not have written at age 13.

It wasn’t possible for him to be 14 in May/June) does it mean he started Secondary Education at age 8? A source queried.
