Findings has shown that, the speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara is set to launch his auto biography, which has been published by Ovation magazine.
Excerpts from the autobiography revealed how the Speaker lied against the suspended member of the House of Reps, Abdulmumin Jibrin.
Dogara had narrated how Jibrin met PMB during the budget padding crisis and again later ferried to him by some security agents where he PMB turned them down and warned Jibrin never to raise the issue with him again.
In a series of tweets to the Presidency, Jibrin said, the publication has caused him a huge embarrassment and the general public is intrested in knowing if indeed what was published is true.More so that Mr President wrote the foreward to the book and by implication giving some validity to such false hood against himself as well.
Mr President is known for his integrity and disdain for lies. It will be in the public interest if he respectfully make clarification if indeed such event ever took place. It will be a huge disservice to the country if Speaker Dogara is allowed to get away with such falsehood
After writing three letters to Mr President seeking audience without response, i gave up. I did my best and left everything to the anti graft and security agencies. The false allegations in the book has left me with no choice than to speak out as my last resort to clear such lies.
It will be unfair to me if we allow Speaker Dogara in continuation of his witch hunt against me after keeping me illegally away from the House for 15months to use the name of Mr president in his expensive image laundering in an attempt to clear himself of any wrong doing.
Jibrin was quoted as saying, I respectfully use this opportunity to inform Mr President that we have been denied representation in the House for 15months and request you to appeal to Chief Justice of the federation on our behalf for speedy dispensation of justice in this matter of utmost national importance.
We challenged the suspension in court with an originating summon. It’s a constitutional matter. The case has been in court for 15months. A similar case in respect of Sen Ndume was dispensed with within 3 months by the court! We don’t want to believe something is wrong
Jibrin further said, the people of his constituency Kiru/Bebeji Kano, have been illegally and unconstitutionally suspended from the House indefinitely having served a 180 days suspension.
We gathered that, Buhari had written the foreword without reading through the autobiography, as the lie against him by Dogara has been validated.
Speaking, Jibrin said, he needed his name to be cleared and requested the President to come clean on the matter.
Efforts to reach the Speaker through his Chief Press Secretary were unsuccessful, as at the time of this report.
