The outgoing Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola said, he did not earn salaries throughout the eight years of his administration.
Aregbesola spoke during an interactive programme tagged ‘Ogbeni Till Day Break’ on Saturday in Osogbo, saying, since it was the state that was feeding me, fueling my cars and providing me with accomodation, there was no need for him to be paid.
He said, he will vacate his office and the Government House on Monday, eight days to the November 27th official hand-over date.
The Governor also said, he will return to his father’s house at J 69A, Arogbo street, in Ilesa. According to him, his decision to leave the office and government house before the expiration of his tenure was to enable the new Governor to commence necessary renovation and overhauling.
Aregbesola said the standard of the roads he constructed cannot be compared to any road in Nigeria, saying that the roads he constructed in terms of quality and network have proved to be the best in the country.
