The Member Representing Etim Ekpo/Ika State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, AKHA, Rt. Hon. Mfon Idung, has extended warm felicitations to the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport, Mr. Akan Okon, on his reappointment into the State Executive Council.
In a release signed by the Lawmaker and made available to the media, he congratulated Mr. Akan Okon, saying that his capacity to deliver on his expected responsibility is not in doubt, as he was instrumental to the emergence of Ibom Air in his previous saddle. “Your reappointment has been meritorious given the fact that you had demonstrated capacity in your previous assignment, especially becoming instrumental to the emergence and success story of Ibom Air”.
While appreciating Governor Udom Emmanuel for his magnanimity in reappointing Mr. Akan Okon, given his penchant for due diligence and timely delivery on projects, the lawmaker prayed God to shower him with great ideas, strength and good health to deliver more in his new place of assignment. “l pray God Almighty to grant you the strength, great ideas and good health to contribute your quota effectively to the completion Agenda of His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel”.
Optimistic about a good and cordial working relationship with the Honourable Commissioner, the Lawmaker, who doubles as the Chairman House Committee on Economic Planning and Development expressed hope that the synergy between the Executive and the Legislature shall assume front burners in their engagement towards Sustainable Economic Development for the betterment of the generality of Akwa Ibom people. “As you roll up the sleeves to work towards engendering Sustainable Economic Development in Akwa Ibom State and indeed the realization of Ibom Deep Seaport in particular, l am optimistic that the synergy between the Executive and the Legislature shall assume front burners. Therefore, as the Chairman House Committee on Economic Planning and Development, l am particularly delighted that you will work for the general good of Akwa Ibom people in bringing the much needed economic expansion and development to bear in our state, even as I look forward to a robust working relationship with you”.
Meanwhile, in line with his legislative functions, the Lawmaker envisages an Akwa Ibom State where Sustainable Economic Development shall be visible to all even as the Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel gears up to take Akwa Ibom to its Eldorado in his completion agenda.
