MIT INVITES CRSHA SPEAKER TO PARTAKE IN RESEARCH

Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management has said it is conducting a research into some fresh topical issues which will border on how companies use data and analytics to increase a product’s value and how companies effectively make money from information, will be handled by MIT Center for Information System Research(CISR).

According to the letter signed by The Associate Dean of Executive Education in the MIT Sloan School of Management, Dr Peter Hirst, dated 22nd May 2018, obtained by TRAIL Reporters, The Speaker of the 8th Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo has been invited to participate in the research activities.

The letter reads in parts “Dear John, We are inviting you to participate in some fresh topical research… . Dr Barbara Wixom… is conducting two surveys and invites you to participate in one suited to your function”

From the release, the research is a two-faced survey for Product Manager and Executive, that is, Data Wrapping survey and Data Monetization survey,which will be aiming at understanding how companies use data and analytics to increase product values as well as understanding how companies use data wrapping to generate financial returns and build competitive advantage.

The letter also reads “Dr Barbara Wixom,Principal research scientist at the MIT Center for Information System Research (CISR) is conducting two surveys… .PRODUCT MANAGER or someone responsible for generating revenues from product are invited to take the data Wrapping Survey to help explore how companies use data analytics to increase a product’s value. The findings will help us understand how companies use data wrapping to generate financial returns and build competitive advantage. …EXECUTIVES who are familiar with the company’s enterprise-level data activities and outcome are invited to take the Data monetization survey to help us explore how companies effectively make money from information.”
