As the appointment of Ololo continues to generate reactions and mixed fillings from Nigerians, a veteran Journalist, Uche Ezechukwu, has said, the new commissioner appointed by Rochas Okoroacha, is incapable of bringing happiness to Imo people.
Uche said, in 2014, at the request of former Sokoto State Governor, Aliyu Wammako, he attended Okoroacha’s daughter’s wedding on a chattered flight from Abuja to Imo state, and were ready to leave after the occasion, when the IMO state Governor prevailed on his then counterpart, to stay over for the weekend and be hosted.
He recollects that, it was an ugly experience, as they were abandoned to their fate. According to the Journalist, there was no food for them to eat, as he had to go to town to buy food, and get snacks and soft drink for Wammako, the then Governor of Sokoto.
Uche Ezechukwu was quoted as saying, ” the stewards were helpless, and kept mentioning Ogechi Ololo, the new commissioner, as one who was in charge, but could not provide them food and hospitality.”
He queried the rationale at which she will function, and bring happiness to Imolites, when she could not take care of a sitting Governor and his entourage as Deputy Chief of Staff, which their stay was part of her responsibility.
