The joy the Word of God brings to my soul is indescribable. That’s why I am so pleased to have you share the mysteries of God’s Word with us. An encounter with the word changes your world, as you’re reading this today the power of His Word will change your life. Welcome onboard.
Every good product in the market- be it perishable product or not- has an instruction on how it should be used, handled and stored. Perishable products comes with preservatives and instruction on the best way to preserve it atleast for a period of time. We are God’s products and His word is the preservative we need for our survival in this decaying world. The word of God was used in creating the World and the same Word is used in preserving it.
Let me inform you that The word of God is the identity and the signature of God. His Word is the communicator of His Power. Nothing in all creation is as strong as the word of God infact it is The Word that created and preserves creation. Verse 10 of our text says ‘’Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation…’’ Nothing preserves life like the Word of God, It is the keeper of life and destiny.
I want you to take note of these: Those who keep the Word of God are kept by the Word, they can never be found wanting in life. The Word of God is a shield from the snares of life. It shields men from the dangers in life. The Word of God is a shelter from the trap of life.
Everyday people become casualties due to the trap the enemy sets but those that keep the word and act on the Word of God are liable to be preserved by the word. They cannot surfer what others are suffering. There are numerous examples of people who enjoyed the preservative power of the Word of God.
JACOB
Jacob was scared of the wrath of his brother Esau after taking the blessings meant for him. But while fleeing from home, God spoke to him in Gen 28:15 saying ‘’And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.’’ When Jacob inherited the blessings of Abraham as passed to him through his father Isaac, He knew Jacob will face challenges in his life so God promised to keep him. It was this word that kept Jecob from being killed by Esau. The Word of God has a way of hiding a man from danger and harm.
Jacob went to Padan-aram, a village he never lived in before but the Word of God preserved him there. 21 years in the house of his uncle Laban but God’s Word kept him. Jacob suffered like any other slave in his uncle’s house, he was cheated and deceived by him but God’s Word kept him. The ‘’blesser’’ is the preserver. No matter how had people may fight you, no matter the strength of the opposition, the word of God will preserve you. Nothing can stand against the Word. I declare, no hired killer will waste your life.
THE DISCIPLES [Luke 8:22]
Jesus told his disciples ‘lets go to the other side…’ the devil heard and prepared serious storm but The Word went ahead of the disciples. Before the storms arose, the Word was already on ground to tackle it. There is no storm of life that can stop the destiny of a man who is propelled by the Word of God. Your journey of life cannot be aborted if what you ride on is the Word of God. If you’re moving by your ability, you will be afraid of opposition but if you’re moving by the Word, no opposition can threaten you. Life becomes a risk where the Word is scarce. The word that started you on the journey is what will preserve you throughout the journey. Nothing preserves like the word. The Word of God moves ahead of every person who keeps the word. May the Word move into every situation of your life and make the journey of life peaceful for you.
HOW DOES THE WORD PRESERVE
The Word Of God Is The Fuel Of Faith:
It is the raw material for the construction of faith. The opposite of faith is fear. Fear is like a magnet, it attracts negativity while faith repels it. The devil promotes fear so he can bring destruction but when you fuel your faith by the Word, you are preserved from all forms of evil. The bible says faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Where the Word grows, increase is inevitable [see Acts6:7]. The shield of faith is the answer to the battle of life. [Eph.6:16]. Your faith shields you against arrows in life. Make no mistake about it, everyone in life is facing one battle or the other. There are people who wont rest until they see you rest in peace. Your celebration angers them but when you arm yourself with the shield of faith, their evil intensions backfires on then. I declare, those fighting you will soon apologies.
The Word Of God Builds Spiritual Strength And Stamina:
God’s Word is loaded with energy, it is a major source of stamina in life. Spiritual energy helps you turn the battle back to the gates. 2 Samuel 22:40 says ‘’For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.’’ The word of God gives you strength for battle. It makes you equal to the battle. The bible says ‘’In the city of Ephesus, so mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.’’ Prevailing powers lies in the Word. You prevail over your enemies and life challenges by the strength of the Word of God. Its rather impossible to think you can triumph over life’s challenges by your own strength. It takes the Word to control the world.
The Word Of God Is The Carrier Of The Presence Of God:
The Word of God carries the anointing of the speaker. Whatever is on God the speaker, is also on the Word He speaks. John 6:63 ‘’It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.’’ Jesus was in other words saying ‘ my spirit is inside my words. The life of God is in the very word He speaks.
Every man is as good as his words and where a man is noted to be a deceiver his words and himself risk being disregarded. There is something about you that is translated in the word you speak. That’s why you hear people say things like‘ that word didn’t sound like you’ God is properly represented by His Word. God doesn’t go on errands, He sends His word! A worded man is the presence carrier. When you carry the Word, you can walk the valley of the shadow of death without fearing any harm. The Word builds boldness and tenacity. Go for the Word.
I don’t know what you may be going through in your life now, I want you to hold on to the word of God. It’s not the words of men that will make you recover or overcome depression, it’s the Word of God you need. Men may say its not possible but God’s word says It’s possible. Fear may whisper death threat but His Word has made provisions for you to live. The Word of God is like water and we are like fishes that cant survive without water. Men expire quickly without the word. Life becomes rotten too soon when the Word of God is removed.
Nothing in all creation preserves like the Word of God. I pray for you, May God preserve your life from decay.
