The attention of the Delta State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Peter Mrakpor Esq, has been drawn to a news story making the rounds in an online   medium, with the above caption, to disparage the Office of the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice. 

The supposed news item according to a statement from the Office of the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, described the said publication as unfortunate and misleading.

The statement added that, documents in relation to the kingship tussle has been forwarded to the Ministry of Justice by both parties for which he is yet to give his legal opinion.

While assuring all parties of his impartiality as the Chief Law Officer to the Delta State Government and a custodian of the law, which he swore to uphold and protect at all times, the Attorney-General enjoined parties to the dispute to be calm as Government is committed to the amicable resolution of the matter. 

The statement also advised peddlers of such unfortunate and misleading stories not to heat up the polity or preempt the actions of government in respect of the contending issue between the two Ruling Houses of Owhotemu and Sowhoruvwe.

The Office of the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice also enjoined members of the public to seek or make enquiries on matters of interest as his Office is always accessible to everyone.
