…; A CREDIBLE PDP URHOBO GOVERNOR SHALL EMERGE ON MAY 29, 2023 – OGHENESIVBE.
The yearning for an Urhobo Governor in Delta Central, the base of the Urhobo ethnic nationality in Nigeria, shall come to fruition on May 29, 2023.
Executive Assistant to His Excellency the Governor of Delta State on Communications, Dr (Barrister) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe in swift reaction to what he described as “bogous and unachievable claim” made by an All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant in Delta, Chief Osiobe Okotie and published in the Sunday Vanguard of August 20, said a credible Urhobo Governor shall be sworn into office on May 29, 2023 after the two tenure of eight years endorsed for Okowa administration.
He further asserted in a statement issued in Asaba that Chief Osiobe as a Nigerian and Deltan has the constitutional rights to be politically ambitious and that the only obstacle is that the vast majority of the good people of Urhobo ethnic nationality agreed to support the state governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa to complete the Delta North’s eight years so as to sustain and enhance peace, unity and inter-ethnic harmony within the three senatorial districts; South, Central and North.
“Chief Okotie is a political stooge in the Emerhor faction of Delta APC; he was drafted into the gubernatorial race to boost the stake of Ughelli North LGA so as to yank Chief Great Ogboru at the party’s governorship primaries.
“Emerhor shall at a later date join the governorship race, work closely with Chief Osiobe to share the delegates with Ogboru and collapse their delegates into one camp to easily defeat Ogboru and by extention frustrate and dash his hope of becoming the APC gubernatorial candidate in 2019.
“The State Woman Leader of Delta APC, Dr Mrs Janet Oyibu was quoted as saying in the Vanguard report that the Emerhor faction will not be intimidated by big names; an indirect reference to the Ogboru faction come 2019 and at the governorship primaries.
“Okotie is aware that he lacks the political popularity, sagacity and pedigree to rattle the Ibori-Okowa political structure in Delta State. Its therefore laughable for him; a relatively unknown political kindergarten student to make a wild and spurious claim. Okotie will not win Ughelli North LGA council election in this dispensation should he contest in the next council elections in Delta State.”
Oghenesivbe posited that APC Delta comprises of expired politicians, funny characters, unserious political jobbers; majority of them are either politcal comedians or desperate to become governor so as to loot the state treasury to pay huge debts and embarrassing bank loans obtained in several commercial banks by their private companies.
“It is an open secret that those hustling to become governor in Delta APC are bad managers of human, material and financial resources in their various family and private businesses; some were recently declared by federal financial agencies as bad and chronic debtors, which is why their gubernatorial ambitions has been and will continue to be strongly resisted and rejected by the good people of Delta State.
“Chief Okotie is strongly and honestly advised to contest for the position of Councillor in Ughelli North LGA rather than embarrass himself and family with a tall, laughable and vague dream of clinching the 2019 Delta APC gubernatorial ticket,” Oghenesivbe added.
