It was a memorable gathering, as the Parish Priest of The African Church Eket had his PRIESTHOOD Thanksgiving Service on Sunday 22nd Oct 2017.

The service which took place at The African Church St Paul’s Parish, 3 ASSAM STREET EKET was attended by the representatives of the Chairperson of Eket Local Government Council, members of the Church, socio-political groups and great sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom State.

The service which was moderated by Evang Esther Akpan had Rev Osondu Ahirika as the Guest Speaker.

In his life transforming and undiluted message; Though my beginning maybe small, drawn from Gen 26:1-15 Rev’d Osundo charge the congregation to always move by faith, live upto God’s expectations and sow good seeds in the work place, homes and Churches, holding that the outcome of our lives is based on the seeds we sow. He specially thank God for Rev’d Richard Peters and advised him to be humble and not to relent efforts in trusting in God.

Hon Abigail Edoho-Eket ably represented by Princess Roseline, in her words, she congratulated Rev’d Richard Peters on his PRIESTHOOD Thanksgiving Service and appreciated his love and passion for God, the Church and State, she charged all to support the Governor and the Government of Deacon Udom Emmanuel.

In a welcome address delivered by the Parish Secretary, Nathaniel, Sabbath on behalf of the People’s Warden, Elder Eno Moffat and the Church, she described Rev Richard Peters as a young, dynamic and purposeful minister who sees possibilities where others see failure, he is focused no matter the situation.

She further indicated that, he is a man with a golden heart, a brave man with optimistic character, a purposeful Priest, a grassroot mobilizer, an Evangelist, a Radical eco-warrior/ activist, a public affairs Commentator and a cheerful giver. She highlighted his positive role in the church development and humanity.

In his response, the celebrant, Rev’d Richard Peters gave all Glory and Honor to God for making him what he is today. In his words “I remember Lord i cannot forget the place where you brought me from and all things you bought me through. It is amazing how have changed my life completely and now Lord i testify, you have been good to me….”
He appreciated the State Governor for creating a peaceful atmosphere and allowing God to use him and transform lives.

He thanked everyone for coming including those that sent in their good wishes and declared his support for the Divine Mandate of Deacon Udom Emmanuel and Akwa Ibom State.
