SACKED DELTA POLY LECTURER, FRANK OVIE RECEIVES DOUBLE ACADEMIC PROMOTION

Information made available to Trail Reporters News revealed that the Governing Council of Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara led by Chief (Barr.) Andrew Orugbo has approved all the promotions of a recently reinstated lecturer, Mr. Osiobe Ovie, whose appointment was unjustly terminated in December 2014 by the former Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr.(Mrs) Clara Sogbaike over false allegations.

Recollect that, Trail Reporters News had earlier reported how His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa ordered the immediate reinstatement of Mr. Osiobe Ovie as lecturer in the institution with payment of all his salary arrears/benefits from 2014 till date.

Following the reinstatement of Mr. Osiobe Ovie, the Governing Council of the institution at its meeting held on 24th September, 2020 approved double promotion for Mr. Osiobe Ovie based on the recommendations of the Appointment & Promotion Committee led by the Amiable and indefatigable Rector of the Polytechnic, Engr. Prof. Emmanuel Ogujor.

Speaking with the recently reinstated lecturer, Mr. Osiobe Ovie on telephone, he was filled with joy as he thanked the Governing Council Chairman, Chief (Barr.) Andrew Orugbo, the Rector, Engr. Prof. Emmanuel Ogujor, the immediate past Governing Council Chairman, Chief (Barr.) Andy K. Osawota, Former Governing Council member, Barr. Brave Enodeh and the entire Management Team & Staff of the Polytechnic under the leadership of Engr. Prof. Emmanuel Ogujor for ensuring equity and justice prevailed over injustice.

Speaking further, Mr. Osiobe Ovie also thanked the Rector, Engr. Prof. Emmanuel Ogujor on behalf of other Staff of the Polytechnic who also got promoted alongside with him and prayed that God gives the Rector the wisdom of King Solomon to move the Polytechnic to enviable and greater heights.
