…URGES ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES TO ASSIST GOVERNMENT CREATE MORE JOBS, WEALTH FOR CONSTITUENTS.

Political Adviser to the National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and most cherished leading aspirant for 2019 Delta Central Senatorial ticket, Senator Ighoyota Amori, has commended Tony Elumelu Foundation and it’s conglomerates for donating the sum of N500 million to boost the laudable job and wealth creation programmes of Okowa administration.

Amori made the commendation while speaking on Friday 6th July 2018, at the residence of Hon Solomon Awhinawhi aka Don Shizo, during his consultation visit to the federal lawmaker.

He said the landmark achievements of the state governor, His Excellency Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has been and still attracting national and international recognition, support and partnership, pointing out that it was therefore a thing of joy for YAGEP and STEP to receive the global endorsements of the World Bank and Tony Elumelu Foundation.

Amori, a leading contender for 2019 PDP Delta Central Senatorial flag posited that his mission to the Senate is to serve Nigeria, sponsor bills, provide empowerment programmes that would reflect the noble objectives of the SMART AGENDA especially job and wealth creation initiatives to boost the efforts of Delta State Government through his empowerment programmes for the eight local government areas that constitutes Delta Central Senatorial District.

“Apart from working with my colleagues in the red chambers to make laws for the good governance of our great country, I shall devote substantial part of my youth and women empowerment programmes in line with the YAGEP and STEP job and wealthy creation policies and programmes of the Okowa administration; and drive it with substantial financial and material resources to improve the living standard of our people as well as raise thousands of young millionaires in my senatorial district.

“The days and years of giving ‘peanuts’ to our people are over. Gov Okowa has set the standard, changed narratives and a clear cut paradymn shift from handouts to raising entrepreneurs have been established by this administration. It is our collective responsibility to join hands with our smart governor to expand the scope and enlist more people through funding and sponsorship of our constituents to participate in the various programmes.

“The World Bank and Tony Elumelu Foundation have taken the first and second lead position in assisting Gov Okowa and this administration to get more Deltans on board the programme so as to fully achieve the prosperity for All Deltans mantra,” Amori said.

AmoriI’s host, Hon Solomon Awhinawhi described Senator Amori as a political leader in Delta Central who over the years demonstrated enormous commitment towards the socioeconomic remodelling and development of Urhobo Nation, adding that it is only fair for all men and women of good conscience to appreciate the numerous efforts of Amori as a party man and leader in this dispensation.

The federal lawmer further asserted that a vote for AmorI is certainly a vote for the benefit and development of Delta Central and Urhobo people. He noted that Senator Amori has participated and still participating actively in all activities and celebrations organised by Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), unlike his contender in the All Progressive Party (UPU) who deliberately refused to join hands with prominent Urhobo sins and daughters to grow and deepen the ideals of the cultural organisation serving the interest of its nationalities.

*Amori is at home because he is my leader and father. My support for him is obvious and it shall remain so till the end if time. I am also an aspirant stagging re-electiin into the green chambers in Ughellu North, South and Udu Federal Constituency. It follows that AmorI and I are in the same victory boat, Awhinawhi added.

Also speaking, a prominent political gladiator and legal luminary, Chief Fred Majemite said Senator Amori and Hon Awhinawhi are super aspirant, describing the duo as quintessential political tacticians with required experience and honesty to truly represent the people of Delta Central and Ughelli North, South and Udu Constituency.

“I wish to advise other aspirants to immediately collapse their structures into Amori and Awhinawhi’s winning camp early enough and before the party primaries because from all indications our people are not going to change their minds on these two super aspirants.

“We need the best to represent us at the Senate and the House of Representatives. It’s also true from all indications that Amori and Awhinawhi possess the required skills and followership to deliver our party and as such we are not going to engage in ‘try your luck’ kind of futile political journey. It’s clear that we are in good standing with Amori and Awhinawhi, going forward,” Majemite assured.
