SENATOR OVIE OMO-AGEGE WILL NOT RETURN TO SENATE IN 2019- GOV OKOWA’S EXECUTIVE AIDE, FRED OGHENESIVBE

…Says Alleged Assasination Attempt On The Senator Is Undemocratic.

Executive Assistant on Communication to the Governor of Delta State, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe has condemned the alleged assasination attempt on the senator representing Delta Central at the red chambers of the National Assembly, Senator Ovie Omo Agege.

Oghenesivbe in a statement made available to newsmen in Asaba on Sunday 16/7/2017 further asserted that no Deltan’s blood should be spilled in quest for political power and dugged scheming for leadership position in present and future electioneering struggles or dispensation.

“Its sad that Senator Agege and his handful of blindfolded followers were attacked in the suburb of Uvwie near Warri in Delta State while trying to distribute some miserable items and little stipends not capable of surviving the beneficiaries.

“Agege attackers may have been provoked by the mockery stipends which is why political office holders and elected representatives in Delta State must emulate the leadership style of the SMART GOVERNOR, His Excellency Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa by sponsoring skills acquisition programmes and provide reasonable financial take off grants that would guarantee genuine and life time prosperity for our people.

“It is therefore shameful for the moribund All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and their party faithfuls to unduly solicit public sympathy by sponsoring cheap publicity to buy the conscience of the good people of Delta Central as we navigate into 2019 general elections.”

Oghenesivbe who is one of the Smart Agenda Communication strategists and top scribe of Delta Intelligentsia for Good Governance posited, that Senator Agege will not return to the Senate in 2019, over what he described as lack of pedigree, moral and legal complications surrounding Agege’s legal practice while in the United States of America.

“The reason why Senators are referred to as Distinguished Nigerians is because of their clean past records, pedigree and transparent honesty.

“It has been revealed that Senator Agege was blacklisted and rusticated from legal practice in the United States over cases of forgery, documents fraud and pejury, amongst other criminal offences.

“As we grow our nascent democracy in Nigeria and deepens the core values of representative government; we shall no longer accommodate questionable characters like Senator Ovie Agege.

“He smuggled his way to the red chambers in 2015 and the good people of Delta Central shall vote out Agege of the Labour-APC party and bring back their vibrant PDP Senator in the person of Senator Ighoyota Amori,” the statement added.
