SUSPENDED PDP NATIONAL LEGAL ADVISER, DAVE IORHEMBA IN ALLEGED N150 MILLION FRAUD

Bar. Dave Iorhemba, a former speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly has been accused of being at the centre of a claimed 150 Million Naira alleged bribery scandal during the just concluded controversial Anambra state PDP governorship primaries.

The National Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had suspended the party’s acting National Legal Adviser, Bar. Dave Iorhemba over allegations of bribery and his suspension is also not unconnected to an alleged letter purportedly written to the Appeal court in Calabar, indicating that the PDP was withdrawing its appeal on the pre election matter between Bassey Albert and Bassey Etim on who was the authentic candidate in the 2015 senate elections in Uyo senatorial district.

The suspended Acting Legal Adviser who is also a governorship hopeful in Benue state is believed to have compromised the fact finding committee to the ongoing crisis arising from the party’s primaries in Anambra.

A source in the party revealed that the suspended legal adviser had agreed to receiving the said sum but claimed to have done so in agreement with four other members of the committee who have unfortunately denied knowledge of any such transaction.

Recollect that, Iorhemba had lost his position as Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly due to allegations of financial misappropriation and fraud.

All attempts to reach his phone have proven abortive as he never responded to calls placed to him.
