A United States based church, Pure Heart Fellowship, Rowlett Texas, has donated a borehole to Idung Assang community, in Esit Eket local government area in Akwa Ibom State.
Donating the borehole project to the community, the Pastor of the church, Pastor Dall said, it is an honour to be here among the people. That in 2002, God called him to preach the gospel to the world. According to Pastor Dall, he has done everything to be a man of God. “I’m preaching the message of love, and this project is the message. God loves you. I wanted to fly first class to Nigeria, my friend Okon told me we could use the money to do something to impact lives, and that was how this project came about.” he said.
The project was executed in honour of late Madam. Affiong Owot, mother to Mr. Okon Owot, a U.S based home care worker, who attracted the project to his community.
The borehole was handed over to the Methodist Church Nigeria, Etebi, as the caretaker, by Pure Heart Fellowship.
Present at the event were the former speaker in the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly, Mr Bassey Essien, Senator Umoyo, Magistrate Essien, Ministers of the Gospel and the community.
They appreciated Pure Heart Fellowship, for finding them worthy too be a beneficiary of the water project, and prayed for more in future.
