The Senator representing Okigwe senatorial district in the National Assembly, Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu has stated that, Imo people will overcome the Spibat Emperor.
Uwajumogu stated this, in a letter, addressed to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Mr.John Oyegun, notifying the APC Chairman of his resignation ad the secretary of the APC National Convention Committee.
The letter read in part,
“Yesterday. 31 May 2018 I resigned my appointment as the secretary of the APC National Convention Committee 2018.
My resignation, was eventually accepted this evening 1st of June 2018 by the APC National Chairman: HE John Oyegun.
I hope by this resignation, the Imo State Governor will now spend more time at home to attend to the many problems and frustrations he created for himself, instead of running around political circles in Abuja in an attempt to reverse irreversible congress confirmations that the NWC just passed today.
I remain grateful to all my comrades and supporters, we will surely triumph over the Spibat emperor. -”
Sources say this is not unconnected to the leadership tussle in the state, on who controls the APC party structure in Imo State, as Okorocha is bent on installing his son in law as the next Governor of the state, with forces from within, said to be against him, including his Deputy, Prince Madumere.
