The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, Waheed Ayilara is dead.
Ayilara, it was gathered, died in the early of Thursday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.
Sources close to the family said, he underwent a prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday before he died hours later.
The late Commissioner of Police has been buried according to Muslim tradition.
