A top source within the presidential cabinet has allegedly confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari has named Hon Azuka Okwuosa as his candidate and APC flagbearer for the Anambra gubernatorial elections set for November 6, 2021.
According to the source, the attention of the President was drawn to the former local government chairman, Okwuosa, on his giant strides all through his internal campaigns.
The alleged endorsement for Okwuosa was founded on his proven averseness to corrupt governance, which is evidenced by his exemplary track record within the political space.
The source said, The president has urged party members to ensure that the primary elections on Saturday, June 26 are held in a peaceful manner, and way also said to have allegedly encouraged members of the party to close ranks behind Hon Azuka Okwuosa and provide him with all the support required to push him into the governorship office in November.
The strong backing from the president is the deciding factor in who would bear the flag of the All Progressives Congress in the Anambra general elections, the source stated.
