Reports available to Trail Reporters show that, self styled Senator representing Kogi west senatorial district, Dino Melaye is currently enmeshed in a certificate scandal from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, as the institution has denied Melaye’s studentship in the university.
Sources say, many trouble awaits Melaye, for his critical stance against some of the government’s policies, as a manhunt on his activities has been launched.
Melaye has spoken out; saying the planned moves to get him was orchestrated by his stance against the confirmation of Ibrahim Magu as chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Sources at the university said, Dino’s name was not on the University’s graduation list, as he claimed to have graduated from the geography department of the institution.
Reports suggest that, the state security service has been put on notice, on the possible forgery of the university certificate, but the agency is yet to act on the report.
A text message sent to Dino Melaye for his reaction was not responded to, as at the time of this report.
