CUSTOMER DIES IN FCMB, AS BANK REFUSED HIM ACCESS TO HIS ACCOUNT TO GET MEDICAL TREATMENT

Reports on our Trail Reporters News shows that, a customer in First City Monument Bank, at Education Bus stop, Ikwerre road, Port Harcourt, died on Monday, April 26, 2021.

Findings by our Medium says, the customer died in the presence of the bank, after failed attempts to withdraw money from his FCMB bank account since Friday last week.

Sources said, due to frustration and unfriendly treatment by the customer service attendants in FCMB, led to his death.

“He was refused Access to his own money since Friday, even when he came with his next of kin. He was asked to go to the court to get an affidavit knowing the court is not in session,” one of our sources said.

“The man was vomitting and at the same time begging for him to have access to his own money, to enable him seek medical attention, yet he was denied. Haven left unattended to for more than 5 hours, he just died now few minutes ago, (yesterday) at fcmb bank, a Female source was quoted.

Efforts by Trail Reporters to get the reaction of the Corporate Communications Manager of FCMB, Mr.Diran on his mobile number 080397588** were unsuccessful, as he did not respond to and sent to his phone, 24 hours after the incident.
