As President Muhammadu Buhari’s fight against Corruption gathers momentum, reports and documents reaching Trail Reporters shows that the most corrupt Rector in Nigeria, Clara Sogbaike, who is the Rector of Delta State Polytechnic Oghara is bent on frustrating the war against corruption in the country.
Clara Sogbaike, is currently one of the highly priced, most sought-after and most notorious alleged treasury looters being investigated by security and Anti graft agencies in Nigeria in recent times.
Checks reveals that, the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Commissioner for Higher Education, Jude Sinebe, the Governing Council Chairman, Asawota K. Andy and other top influential politicians in the State have decided to wage war against President Muhammadu Buhari and his heads of Security and anti graft agencies for daring to investigate one of their loyal corrupt treasury looter, Clara Sogbaike.
Clara has been under investigation by NSA, EFCC, ICPC, Code of Conduct Bureau and the Police.
Clara Sogbaike a.k.a “Mrs Court Order”, has been frustrating security/anti graft agencies with frivolous court orders through the aid of some very corrupt judges within Delta State, which sources alleged, the Chief Judge Marshal Umukoro has a hand, with others who hawk justice on the streets and give to the highest bidder.
With the full support and backing of Governor Okowa, with his top aides and top politicians, Clara Sogbaike and 2 others in a desperate bid to avoid arrest, have filed a suit in the Federal High Court 2 Asaba, Delta State with Suit No. FHC/ASB/CS/17/2017 against The President, the Attorney General of the Federation, The Chairman EFCC, Zonal Head, EFCC South South Zone Port Harcourt, (Ishaq Salihu), Chairman, Code of Conduct Bureau, Executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission and Osiobe F. Ovie, asking the Federal High Court Asaba to grant an injunction restraining the Respondents, the Nigerian President and six others including heads of security agencies in Nigeria from investigating and arresting them over alleged crimes of corruption and other related crimes.
We gathered that, Clara, through her counsel in the Suit filed, claimed she and her cohorts has been exonerated and cleared of financial embezzlement and corrupt practices by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Commissioner for Higher Education, Jude Sinebe and National Board for Technical Education(NBTE) and therefore needs no security and anti graft agencies to clear her again of any financial misappropriation.
But in a twist, none of the security/anti graft agencies investigating her and her cohorts has cleared them of their involvement in financial crimes.
The hearing of the case has been fixed for March 14th, 2017 at Federal High Court 2 Asaba Delta State by 9.00a.m.
Findings by our Reporters reveals that, top aides of the Governor are indicted in the corruption probe of Clara Sogbaike now popularly called “Clara Sogbaike’s Gate of Corruption”.
With the latest action of the Applicants (Clara Sogbaike & 2 others), it is a battle between the Delta State Government through Clara Sogbaike & 2 Others Versus the Federal Government of Nigeria through the President & 6 Others.
Sources have queried, “who will win the battle?” The Delta State Government through Clara Sogbaike or The Federal Government through the President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria? Only time and a competent court of jurisdiction that is free of corruption will determine. Another source was quoted.
