Since the advent of Governor Umo Eno’s administration in May 2023, the Governor has silently moved in executing projects without noise. A man whose eyes has always been fixed in achieving goals, because his energy has been geared towards that.
Pastor Umo Eno, being a private driven citizen, underscores his penchant for a goal driven achievement in the state, which he pilots as its number one citizen. From the flag off of the construction of spring road in Ikot Ekpene, to the flagging off of the Owot Uta- Edebom road, to the flood control at Atiku Abubakar Avenue, he has taken further steps in revamping the Christ the King College, primary school at Barracks road.
The ongoing rehabilitation of the hospital at Ukanafun, Immanuel hospital in Eket, the soon to be commenced Akwa Ibom State University Teaching Hospital, all of these, are testaments to His Excellency’s commitment in putting up lasting legacies for Akwa Ibom People.
The ARISE agenda of His Excellency, cuts across all facets of human development, from Agriculture, Rural development, infrastructural development, security management and educational advancement. So far, even opposition members, have acknowledged the Governor’s deliberate commitment in getting things done right.
He has set up an internal security system, with the appointment of Gen. Koko Essien, as Commissioner in the ministry. Every citizen of the state, should fasten their belts, as we witness the birth of developmental renaissance in the state.
We are poised to be part of a historic government, whose Chief Captain, is gradually steering the ship to its destined shore. Governor Umo Eno is gradually achieving results, without fun fare, as he rather allows his results to make the noise.
From all we have witnessed, we can see clearly from the lots, that one man whose sole objective and goal was to serve the state genuinely, is gradually doing so, to the admiration of everyone.
We must understand that, the present administration cannot do everything, and cannot also satisfy everyone, but the sincere commitment of the Governor in doing better, is what continues to endear him to the generality of Akwa Ibomites both at home and in the diaspora.
Gov.Umo Eno’s dream to see a better Akwa Ibom is gradually taking shape. and like every other dream, its turning to an enviable achievement.
