WHY JONATHAN LOST 2015 GENERAL ELECTIONS – PDP NAT. LEGAL ADVISER, BARR. ENOIDEM

Eneh John

The National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem has given insight to what led to the loss of the 2015 presidential elections by Goodluck Jonathan.

Enoidem was quoted as saying,
“My dear let me for the umpteenth time tell you why GEJ lost election to PMB. If you like believe it or leave. GEJ lost election because he went back on his promise to run on a single ticket.

He lost election because our party allowed the constitution of zoning to be jettisoned otherwise, PMB has no business winning election as the president of Nigeria.

PMB has never been a Nationalist.
His conducts, his body movement, his deeds, his utterances, his pedigree and his history depict him as a sectional leader, as a religious bigot, as a clannish champion, as tribal apologist. This was why all of his electoral results limited him to the north.

If GEJ had kept to his electoral promise to do a single term and obey the provisions of the constitution on zoning, then PDP had no business loosing election to a man like PMB in 2015.

So PMB is a direct beneficiary of GEJ’s indiscretion and unfortunate somersault on a cardinal campaign promise and disobedience to the express provisions of our constitution on zoning.
PMB is an accidental president of Nigeria.

He knew he had no business winning the election that was why he said he fainted when PMB called to congratulate him.

This explains why he couldn’t constitute his cabinet over six months after he was sworn in, this explains why uptil now, he still doesn’t believe he is the president of Nigeria. This explains why we are where we are in terms of the economy, the security, the unity of the nation, the hopelessness in the land, the killings in the land, the starvation, the sufferings, the fears and the uncertainties.

There are really no reasonable parameters to compare GEJ with PMB.
In civilized societies, PMB won’t come in when educated people are in discussion. What has he to offer?

I always knew PMB was God’s kind of saying “do-it-the-way-you-want-it” to Nigerians for their impatience.

It’s sad that Politics and not national considerations has driven us to this precipice.

But am certain we will sure get pass here because 2019 is not forever.”
