Text: Psalm 107:15-20; Isaiah 14: 12
According to wikitionary, gates are door-like structure outside a house. Its also a doorway, opening or passage in a fence or a moveable barrier. Entry or exit from a house, a place or city is usually through a gate. Gates also operate in the realms of the spirit where they control territories and resources. It is considered that gates operate in the lives of men. Even when you become a Christian, you have to handle the gates that fight your manifestation. In Mat 16: 18, Jesus made reference to the gates of hell. He said that He will build His church and the gates of hell shall not prevail. The devil is a keeper of the gate of frustration. To access a treasure house you must pass through a gate and if its shut, you cant get the treasure. The gate of good things will not open until a mighty hand is engaged. They are people that come a long way in their journey for better things but cant access the better life because the prison gate of the devil is opened over their lives. They struggle and die without manifesting purpose. Today, this word comes to expose and destroy every prison gate of darkness in your life.
WHAT IS THE PRISON GATE OF THE ENEMY THAT HAS BEEN OPENED
1 PRISON GATE OF INFIRMITY [Psalm 107:18; Luke 13:12]
The worst that can happen to man is when your mantle cannot handle your battle. The gate of infirmity is responsible for all manners of diseases and ailments. This is the kind Apostle Paul was experiencing where his prayers could not end the sickness. It becomes a problem when God uses you to handle the issues of others but you cannot handle yours. The gate of infirmity sponsors sickness medical equipments cannot detect. I have prayed and ended sicknesses that medical test failed to detect. There are so many people whose sickness is not entirely physical. Such people can spend their entire savings on managing the sickness [Luke 8:43] Whenever the gate of infirmity is opened over a man, he suffers from what he cannot explain. Infirmity is when you sing and people are blessed but you go back depressed. Others get their miracle but you still remain where you used to be. In Luke 13:12 while Jesus was ministering he saw a woman with the spirit of infirmity that lasted for eighteen years. He told her woman thou are loosed from thy infirmity. Jesus delivered her first from infirmity and immediately she was healed. To handle a problem well target its origin by dealing with the root. When the gate of infirmity is shut down the problem of infirmity is rooted up.
2 THE PRISON GATE OF DEATH [Job 38:17]
Few years ago I received an emergency call for me to pray for somebody who died hours before the call. On arriving at the venue, I met other pastors praying and God spoke to me. He instructed me to shut the last gate and order the soul of the person to return. Immediately, I saw that the lady had passed several gates and was about passing the last gate afterwhich no prayer could have brought her back to life. When i prayed and shut the gate, the lady came back to life. That was when I realized that Death has a gate. When there is a shadow of death over your life, you keep seeing death people in your dream. It means the gate of death has been opened over your life. The gate of death is responsible for serial death. People can be wasted in an entire family when the gate of death is open. If you don’t end it, it can end you. Surprising that medically, the causes of death a myriad but when the gate of death is in operation anything or nothing can be the cause of death. They are people who get well by taking a particular medication but there are still people who die as a result of taking such medication. Sound health is not a guarantee for long life. They are death situations where the deceased cause of death could not be ascertained. This gate can manipulate a man to walk with someone who was marked to die thereby making him a second party victim of death. I speak as an oracle, every death sentence hanging over your life is terminated now.
3 THE PRISON GATE OF BONDAGE [Zech 2:1-4]
I grew up seeing my grandmother tying goat to a stick to feed. By reason of repetition, the goat was accustomed to that condition and it’s mind was configured to believe that it was always tied with rope. On a certain day, I took the goat to the usual position and left without tying it. To my surprise when I returned after several hours, the goat was still there. It had been used to the usual condition such that freedom meant nothing to it. This narrative is not peculiar to animals. When the gate of bondage operates over a man, he is held in bondage to strange things. Don’t be surprised that people are in the bondage of sin, they surfer under that bondage all their lives till help comes. I have seen a man addicted to stealing. A certain director in an oil firm was caught stealing a tin of milk as a result he was fired. The gate of bondage can make you find yourself pressed down by unexplainable, unimaginable load and burden. Zech 2:1-4 is an account of a vision God showed his prophet about how Jerusalem was under bondage. Limitation, embargo and demonic downsizing is prevalent where the gate of bondage is in operation.
4 THE PRISON GATE OF CAPTIVITY [Psalm 107:10]
It is the gate of almost: Almost succeed but could not, Almost excel but did not. It keeps you under permanent captivity. You can remain in captivity until you take an action and free yourself. Captivity is dangerous. You may be one that finds yourself dancing around a certain circle without making tangible progress. Captivity keeps a man of over 30 years still residing in the parents house with no plan or desire to establish his own family. This gate is responsible for scattering people’s efforts and rubbishing a man’s struggle. When you see yourself working like an elephant but eat like an ant, when you find that you cannot exceed a certain amount in your account, when you see yourself suffer in life, the gate of captivity is in operation. It torments people and leaves them confused in life. Esau was in such captivity after loosing his birthright to his younger brother Jacob but it took fierce fighting for freedom for him to break free from the chains of captivity. It takes a fight to end captivity. It takes spiritual violence to break out from captivity.
