NEW YEAR: FRANK ARCHIBONG PREACHES UNITY, CELEBRATES WITH COMMUNITY

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Frank Archibong, has called on Nigerians and citizens in the State to embrace love, unity and deeper understanding for rapid development to strive in the year 2021.

Mr. Frank Archibong who stated this on Friday, 1st January, 2021, while celebrating with his kinsmen at his Ikot Ibiok residence, Eket LGA., siezed the opportunity to thank God for the grace to crossover into year 2021 in sound health irrespective of the COVID 19 global health Challenge. He maintained that a fresh air of genuine love and cooperation from all and sundry will avail the pace for development to strive for the collective gains of the people.

Mr. Archibong, cautioned the people to give strict adherence to established safety protocols in order to curtail the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

“Year 2021 will be outstandingly productive but we must cooperate and maximize every single opportunity for positive improvement for our youths and women to benefit. And as we celebrate, let us remember to also include Governor Udom Emmanuel and his family in our prayers for greater strength, wisdom and safety” The Commissioner stated.

Speaking at the event, a former Minister of the Federal Republic and former National Lawmaker, Chief Ndueso Essien, said, the people of Ikot Ibiok and Akwa Ibom State are happy with Mr. Frank Archibong. The elderstatesman submitted that the Commissioner is a lover of development who is very interested in developing his Community and the people.

Chief Nduese, who is the political leader of Eket Senatorial District, also urged the people to heed to the advise of the Commissioner for the general interest of the people.

Also speaking, the village Head of Ikot Ibiok, Chief Charles Eno, appreciated the Commissioner for his usual magnanimity and support which he said has strengthened the peace and unity amongst the Ten families of Ikot Ibiok.

Corroborating the assertion of the various speakers, an Oil and Gas expert, Engr. Andrew Okon, described Mr. Archibong as a man of peace and Community builder. He added that the best can only be achieved if the people are united and peaceful.

The Commissioner donated bags of rice, cow and cash support to the Ten families.

The event was attended by a former Minister of the Federal Republic and National Lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Chief Nduese Essien, SSA on Project Monitoring to governor Udom Emmanuel, Obongiwaad (Pst.) Godwin Williams, Elder Solomon Okpo, Elder Emem Inyang, Chairman, Adaha Okwok, Godwin Akpan, Chairman -Idung Abasekpan, Ekoi, Youth president of Isi Yiridua, Obonganwan Adiaha Etukukoh, Monday Udofia, Ben Akpan Ben and the PDP Chairman of Ward Three Central, Engr. Samuel Okon.
