NFF PRESIDENT, AMAJU PINNICK APOLOGISES TO NIGERIANS AFTER LOSING THREE POINTS

The President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick has tendered an apology to Nigerians, after the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) had deducted three points from Nigeria’s qualifying group for filling an ineligible player, Shehu Abdullahi, in the game between the Super Eagles and the desert foxes of Algeria, which ended in a one all draw.

In a tweet yesterday, Pinnick said, “As head of the Federation, I take responsibility for this. It happened on my watch.”

In a tweet that has earned him praise, some Nigerians who took to the social media, have saluted his action, as that of a true leader.
