There are reports of protest against the government of Yahaya Bello by pensioners who are groaning in pains over inability of the Governor to pay their pension arrears.
Scores of kogi state Government pensioners protest non-payment of arrears of pensioners ranging from 18-22 months.
One of the pensioners who spoke with our Reporter said, we are dying, no money to buy drugs and pay our children school fees.”
“I want to appeal to our governor to start paying us our monthly pension.” another pensioner added.
The pensioners in Kogi State carried placards with various inscriptions such as; ‘pay us our pensions’
Some of the pensioners lamented that they have been placed under worse conditions, adding that their lives have been worse than ever.
