The Katsina based team will focus on preserving their record when they visit Sai Masu Gida this weekend
Katsina United’s Tasiu Lawal has disclosed that despite the respect reserved for their next opposition, Kano Pillars, they are looking forward to stretching their unbeaten run in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Baldwin Bazuaye’s side last tasted defeat on January 25, in Maiduguri and have since gone five matches unscathed.
Ahead of Sunday’s crunch tie with Sai Masu Gida, Lawal has hinted that their main goal remains to preserve their current record.
“We will face a tough match in Kano but we are up to the task,” Lawal told Goal.
“Having gone five games without defeat and yet to be beaten this month we will strive to protect our unbeaten run there.
“We are going into the match at the back of a good home win against FC Ifeanyiubah and we are ready to extend it against them on Sunday.”
The Northern side are sixth on the log with 13 points from nine matches.
