POLITICAL STAKEHOLDERS IN EKET PRESENTS DAVID LAWRENCE AS SOLE CANDIDATE, AS LAWMAKER CONSULTS AKS PDP STATE CHAIRMAN, PAUL EKPO

Political stakeholders in Eket, on Friday, September 21, 2018, presented the Member, representing Eket State constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon.David Lawrence, as the sole candidate for the constituency for a second term.

Amongst the stakeholders present were, Gen.Anthony Etukudo, Two time state house member, Rt.Hon.Jack Udota, Chief Francis Eno, Engr.Emmanuel Udoh, (SAFRA), chapter and ward Exco members of the party, delegates ,Chief Assam Assam, DG of Boundless Grace Campaign, Chief S Idim, Former PDP Chapter Chairman, Mr.Godwin David, Leader of Eket Legislature, Kufre Imo, Former Council Vice Chairman, Mr.Victor Henry, Supervisors, Charity Ikott, Esta Nta and a host of others.

Speaking, Chief Assam Assam said, “If PDP had 50% of people like David Lawrence, APC will have no business in power.” He further said, that because of the quality of work that people like David Lawrence is doing in Eket, there is no APC in the constituency. Chief Assam affirmed that Eket people will deliver Governor Udom Emmanuel in 2019. He praised the party Chairman for bringing peace to the party, and thanked him for his steadfastness in building the party.

The Director General of Boundless Grace, Chief S. Idim presented a physical challenged person to the State Chairman as one of the delegates to the PDP primaries.

According to a two time state House Member, Barr.Jack Udota, he said, it has been the tradition in Eket for the three political zones to share the positions of the Chairman, Vice Chairman and the State House of Assembly.Mr.Jack Udota stated that, the Urban zone cannot be empty, as Okon has the position of the Vice owChairman and the Commissioner, which is appointed.
He decried the unnecessary arguments from some quarters, that other persons who are not from Okon, should not contest the Party primaries, but said, only weak politicians do not want others no vie with them.

The Eket lawmaker, Hon.David Lawrence said, he will continue to bring development and experience to represent Eket people. He also said, his second term in the Assembly will be more rewarding than his first term, as ongoing projects which he has facilitated and attracted to Eket will be completed and new ones executed.

Responding, Mr.Paul Ekpo, said, he will ensure a level playin ground for all aspirants to test their popularity at the field.
