Evang. Olufummilayo oluwakemi odufuwa, wife of the chairman of board of clergy of the African church, worldwide and head of calabar province, His grace, the most Rev. Augustine Odufuwa Afolabi lost her life in a ghastly motor accident that occured along calabar itu road, Trail Reporters has gathered.

At least 3 persons inculding her and the driver lost their lives, while others sustained injuries when one of the petex motors was involved in an accident in the early hours of friday, 10th march, 2017 along calabar itu road.
The deceased ( The reverend’s wife) was said to arrive Akwa Ibom state from lagos. Upon her arrival, she boarded a vehicle at petex motors to join her husband at calabar where she encountered the accident that claimed her life.

Rev. Richard peters, The Public Relations Officer (PRO), Board of Clergy of the African Church, Uyo central Diocese who spoke with Trail Reporters on phone confirmed this report about her sudden demise.
“Friday 10th march was a black day to all the members of the African Church worldwide as tragedy struck. The house of one of the Arch Bishop of the African church, his grace, The most Rev Augustine Odufuwa Afolabi was thrown into mourning as his wife, Evang passed on to enternity. The African church family have lost a mother per excellence and a very charitable and hospitable mother of our province”, said Rev. Richards Peters.

Rev. Richards peters further advocated for government to make provision for the religious leaders and wife of such hierarchy that has contributed greatly to the society. He also appealed to the government to aid in such disaster.
Information made available to Trail Reporters desk has it that the college of Bishops of the African Church Headed by his Eminence Dr. Emmanuel udofia, paid a condolence visit to the deceased family in the Arch Bishop’s court at cathedral of christ church, calabar.

The remains of the body of the late Evang Olufummilayo Oluwakemi Odufuwa will be laid to rest at her country home at ile-ife on the 30th of March, 2017.
Her home town is Ipari Nla- Ijebu Ode in Ogun State
