As efforts by the Economic & Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices & Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Nigeria Police thickens to arrest the Rector of Delta State Polytechnic Oghara, Mrs.Clara Sogbaike and her cohorts, plots to use some corrupt DSS Officials within Oghara to unlawfully arrest and murder a whistle blower who exposed their fraud and other crimes since 2014 is in the offing.
The embattled Clara Sogbaike, who is known for using court orders to prevent security agencies including National Security Adviser (NSA), EFCC, ICPC and Police from arresting her, has kept on lavishing looted public funds to scuttle investigations into her fraud allegations and also empower thugs, armed robber, cultists and assassins to intimidate and eliminate any of her suspected critics opposed to her dictatorial rule as Rector of Delta State Polytechnic Oghara.
Information reaching Trail Reporters reveals that, on the 6th of July, 2015, the whistle blower, Osiobe Ovie received a call on his Glo number 08073179672 about 2.44 pm from an unknown male caller with telephone number 08068401345 who introduced himself as a DSS official attached to Oghara Delta State, but refused to reveal his name. He requested to know the whereabouts of Mr. Osiobe Ovie which he declined to.
He was then requested to come to Oghara to meet personally with the unidentified DSS official in Oghara before he will take him to meet his Assistant Director who gave him the orders to call. Ovie then requested for an official invitation letter from DSS through his lawyer or ask the Assistant Director DSS Oghara to call him because his life was under serious threat from Clara Sogbaike and that he had lodged a petition to both Director-General of DSS and Delta State Director of DSS since June 2014 over his kidnap and threat to life and that no action was taken by DSS till date.
According to Ovie’s claim, the unidentified DSS official never called again until on the 27th of February, 2017 (19 months interval) at about 2.12pm when the same unidentified DSS official called again with the same number but this time he called his MTN line 070385300**. He simply introduced himself as Mark from DSS and requested Mr. Ovie to come to Asaba to have a chat with his Assistant Director in Asaba. When he was reminded of his earlier call he made in 2015 with the same line, he denied ever calling to invite Mr. Ovie through his line.
Findings reveal that, this latest call and invitation from this unknown DSS official is an orchestrated, planned and calculated attempt to exterminate Osiobe Ovie in order for them to be free from ongoing investigations and prosecution by security and anti graft agencies.
Speaking with Trail Reporters, Osiobe Ovie, said, he is calling on the Director-General of DSS and Heads of other security agencies, to caution and warn their officers and men to desist from being used to carry out dirty and unlawful acts for influential persons and politicians, both elected and appointed, capable of undermining the integrity, ethics and professionalism of Security agencies in the country. He is also calling on all security agencies; NSA, EFCC, ICPC and Police who are all currently investigating Clara and her cohorts to immediately arrest them for fraud of over N3 Billion Naira, corrupt practices and other heinous crimes.
