Plans have been concluded for Eket Senatorial District Women Forum end of year get–together and empowerment programme. The event which is designed to assemble Women from all the Local Government Areas that make up Eket Senatorial District to interact with, empower and fete them, will take place tomorrow Saturday, 19th December, 2020 at Eket Local Government Council hall, Eket LGA by 10.00am.
According to a release by the President General Eket Senatorial District Women Forum, Mrs. Idara Ephraim Akpan, the event will have the wife of the Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Martha Udom Emmanuel as Special Guest of Honour/Mother of the Day. The Senator representing Eket Senatorial District in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Akon Eyakenyi will be the Chief Host of the event and will be ably supported by the Deputy Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mrs. Felicia Bassey as well as the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Dr. Ini Adiakpan and her Education counterpart, Mrs. Enobong Mbobo as co-hosts.
The release invites women from Eket Senatorial District, friends of the Senatorial District and all to attend.
